The max payload is 3,397 pounds for the gasoline engine and 3,193 pounds for the diesel version, Chevrolet said.
The truck will combine off-road and performance technology, including an off-road mode, Multimatic DSSV dampers, ZR2-specific front upper and lower control arms and steering knuckles, and a rear e-locker, Chevy said.
The Silverado HD ZR2 sits 1.5 inches higher in the front and rear than other Silverado HD models equipped with 4WD.
The diesel engine is also upgraded from the 2023 model’s 445 hp and 910 pound-feet of torque.
